The McGee Home as a Design Lab
01 Playful Office Space

When Syd and Shea were building their home in Salt Lake City, Utah, before they even moved in, Shea knew the space would continue to evolve with her family, that’s part of the job of being a designer. She knew that the McGee Home would serve as a design lab and canvas to test new and upcoming McGee & Co. pieces. Here are all the McGee & Co. pieces in the McGee Home Refresh.

As Syd and Shea’s home build was finished in 2020, Shea was excited to have a space of her very own to dream and create in, in short, to be her own client. Shea, as a designer of homes and furniture, loves the chance to experiment with both to inspire and push the creative process as she builds her portfolio. The focus of the McGee Home Refresh was adding layers, visual interest, and character. Fortunately, McGee & Co. had just the right pieces to make Shea’s vision come to life.

“As a designer of both homes and furniture, I love to try new things.”

“I designed the Scaletta Bench with a slip skirt of ivory striped linen. It was the perfect fit to bring a more traditional feel to my living room.”
