The Sunday 7: Christmas Time is Here!
No. 1. Making lists and checking them twice
I can hardly believe Christmas is this weekend! I’m not sure who’s more excited – me or the girls. We’ve been taking them to do our favorite holiday outings and are looking forward to squeezing in a couple more this week. I absolutely cannot wait to bust out my wrapping paper and enjoy an evening of playing Santa, listening to my favorite Christmas tunes, and really getting into that holiday spirit.
No. 2. Wallpaper install!
Syd and I have been waiting for months to receive the wallpaper and get it installed in our basement guest bedroom. Naturally, the one day the room is completely torn apart is when we’re expecting guests, haha. While we’ve shared some behind the scenes of the basement (here and here), I cannot wait to show you more of the guest bedroom. When it’s completed, I may have to move into this room and just take it all in. (Image edited with our Balance present.)
No. 3. Holiday sale
The McGee & Co. Holiday sale is on for just one more day, so be sure not to miss out! If you’re thinking ahead, you could plan on selecting pieces to save for next year, too!
No. 4. The last Netflix filming of 2021
Nothing makes me realize how fast the year rushed by quite like putting a pause on filming for the year. (There will be more to look forward to in 2022!) We just had our last shooting day for 2021 and we got to spend it filming with Margot! It was nice to not have to get all dressed up and spent the day in comfy knit sweaters (how sweet is this set Margot is wearing!?).
No. 5. A favorite book
This book is life-changing and makes a great gift! I have been listening to it again as I gear up for the new year.
No. 6. Holiday baking and cozy favorites
I absolutely love this time of the year and am so looking forward to enjoying time with Syd and the girls. I’ve got some baking done but I hope to do so much more! While the home is feeling festive with the smells of our favorite cream cheese spritz cookies (the cookie press is so fun!), I’m also adding a few cozy pieces to our home to really welcome in the winter season. PS. I love to add crushed candy cane to cream cheese frosting and make little cookie sandwiches out of them.
No. 7. Merry Christmas!
Hope you all enjoy celebrating the season with the ones you love most. I’ll be back with the Sunday 7 in the new year!
