Come along for a room-by-room shoot tour of our McGee & Co. Spring Collection in the quirky-cool hamlet of Ojai, California.

01

The Living Room
A moody den-like space

The crown jewel of the spring shoot’s living room styling is McGee & Co.’s just-launched Wexler Sofa. It’s the first piece in McGee & Co.’s lineup to feature a contrast piping detail. The Celeste Coffee Table, with its whimsical detailing and intricate patterning, brings an added contemporary touch that plays off the sculptural arms of the sofa. The Pieced Handwoven Jute Rug is another piece that’s new to the spring collection, alongside a pair of the Clegg Lounge Chair. The rolled arms are accented by a single button, tufted back cushion and a cast metal foot in antique bronze.

The Dining Room
A tablescape for transitioning seasons

Overhead, the Corinne Wrapped Hanging Shade frames a tablescape that is meant to transition your styling from winter to spring. The elements of the tablescape all begin with the Jennie Tablecloth, a black-printed pattern made by hand featuring delicate florals and a running striped border. One of our favorite elements of the tablescape is the Brennan Bowl, a silhouette based on an Italian bowl Shea fell in love with during her travels.

The biggest piece of furniture in the room’s vignette is the brand-new Garance Dining Chair. Sitting on ball feet that are carved seamlessly from the chair’s wooden legs, the chair boasts a rounded seat topped with performance velvet. The unique piece is a showstopper in any dining room setup.

The Primary Bedroom
A restful, cottage-like retreat

The bedroom styling centers around the Palladio Bed, which features an unexpected material combination with a ticking stripe, pleated corner headboard and wooden base. Shea and the design team originally pictured this piece in red upholstery but made a shift toward a more brown-ish burgundy as the product ideation developed.

Flanking the bed is a pair of the new Alessandro Nightstands, composed of honey oak wood. Brass drop pulls were a must, as Shea has wanted to take the trend that is very reminiscent of grandma’s house and do it in an elevated way. At the foot of the bed, Shea and the design team styled the Magda Teddy Bear Boucle Settee in caramel.

The Kids Bedroom
A space styled for the littles

The Wool and Jute Checkered Rug anchors the room with a playful aesthetic, setting the tone for a kids bedroom they actually want to hang out in. A pair of the Sutherland Twin Beds hold a display of coordinating pillows, each differentiated by a set of the Serepent Artwork in the room’s blue and cream color scheme.

In the middle of the beds, the Wilkins Laurel Nightstand is a playful pop in an earthy green with soft, rounded edges perfect for a kid-friendly space.

05

The Bathroom
Springtime in the cottage

A refresh for your bathroom is an easy way to make your home feel brand new for the season. It’s also easy to make just a few little swaps for fresh styling, ones that will go a long way in terms of the overall design aesthetic. In the bathroom of our McGee & Co. spring shoot, Shea and the design team added the 100% linen Pennie Shower Curtain in a classic charlie check pattern. For storage, and to add a sense of depth with textural wood, the Pearce Chest holds an assortment of bathroom styling essentials.
