and when we started the process of creating our spring 22′ collection with McGee & Co., we drew on the feeling that spring’s moments bring to our surroundings both inside and out.
Looking to influences in nature, fashion, and the season’s palette, we took to the drawing board to bring the pieces to life revision after revision.
Watch our video below for an inside look into the making of the collection.
Whether working on a client project or designing a product collection, we always like to start with a color palette. We look to the surroundings of the home or the season to pull hues that speak to the feeling we want to create and build from there.
Although it might sound cliche, nature is always a great representation of which colors will pair well together. In creating the color palette for this season, we drew from the fresh earth tones we see outside and tweaked them in our product interpretations until they felt just right.
Thinking about lines and silhouettes is important in every design form, from architecture to lighting design. We wanted to create pieces that mixed delicate, modern, and traditional influences for our spring collection. From our statement-making Wolcott lighting collection to the curved lines of the Ardell table collection, each piece is versatile enough to adapt to any space.
Once we have a strong sense of the palette and shapes, we consider the materials of each piece and how they work together to create dimension. This season, we incorporated timeless textural materials like burl wood, travertine, and wovens that can instantly elevate any room.
Which specific fabric is used on the Farris bed above? Thank you.
