It’s pattern—
—that drew Shea McGee to the world of interior design. “I collected fabric samples because I admired them,” she notes. When the “opportunity arose to collaborate with Morris & Co.,” a heritage brand famed for its production of intricate patterns, Shea jumped at it.
William Morris is one of the most emblematic British designers. “[I love] the color and the movement,” Shea notes, “and his patterns feel traditional and fresh. When dreaming up this collection, I felt like there were a few patterns that spoke to the Studio McGee aesthetic, and then [we asked ourselves,] ‘how do we make these patterns feel fresh?’ We worked with their design team to incorporate new colorways,” adds Shea. “To see our vision in this physical form and then have it live in people’s homes is a dream come true.”
