Our Favorite Blue Paints

A few of our go-to shades.

We know we’re not the first design studio to say this, but we love the color blue.

When used correctly, blue can almost act as a neutral. It’s serene, calming, and versatile enough to become the perfect touch of color to nearly any space without overwhelming the room.

When it comes to blue paint colors, it feels like there are endless shades options, so today, we’re sharing our favorites!

  1. I love a good navy blue wall! I am actually in the process of decorating my new house and even though it was terrifying at first, I went ahead and painted my whole study in Crown Paint – Midnight Navy and couldn’t be happier with it!

Also love your blog and YouTube channel! Keep creating awesome content!

    1. Yay! Thanks so much for following along, and if you instagram any photos of the study please tag us so we can see! Xo

  2. Thank you for your love of blues! We have renovated a 1925 Tudor and are planning to incorporate BM Hale Navy into a couple key places.

  3. In the first picture of the blue island and the two natural pendant lights. Where are those pendants from. Love and must have!

  4. I’m thinking of painting the kitchen cabinets blue instead of the gray I thought I wanted. We bought these gorgeous light gray tiles and thought that blue might complement them better. Do you think the Polaris blue will go well with a darker floor?

  5. These blues are so beautiful! I have a beach house, and am looking for some livable blues for great room walls , that are clear. Trying to avoid gray undertones, however I don’t want paint to look childlike. Also, has Sherwin Williams , "Skylight" been discontinued? Thank you.

  6. I got the Hale Navy Andrew it is so dark on my walls it’s almost black but it seems so much lighter in your kitchen. Did you lighten it at all? I know it’s a bright space and that affects it.

  7. I’m thinking of using blue for our kitchen remodel, what color was used in the SM Ranch House kitchen? Benjamin Moore Hale?? Thank you.

  8. Is the 2nd picture on this post the SM Ranch House as shown? I can’t find that kitchen in your pictures for that home and really love the kitchen and want to see more!

  9. Love the list of your favorite blue colors. Are those colors the ones used in the photo examples provided? Hard to tell, since the colors used in each photo are not provided. Would be helpful to know which colors were used.

  10. Gotta be honest. .I can find pretty blue kitchens all over the internet. What would actually be helpful is the paint color names.
