Taking a look back at where you’ve been is an important life lesson. Remember where you came from, right? As evidenced in the video below, where Syd and Shea came from at the start of McGee & Co. is a line of pillows… just pillows. “You and I were designing the pillows,” Shea laughs with Syd, remembering the year of 2016 when McGee & Co. was just a sliver of what it is now. “We’ve learned a lot and come a long way,” she adds.
Now, at the end of 2022, Shea is guiding us through the newest line of McGee & Co. pillows, one of many, from a “sherpa” shoo-in to a layering stalwart that will withstand all trends that come and go. Here, a guide to McGee & Co.’s latest textile collection.
No. 01 | The Sherpa
“Prepare to be amazed,” Shea remarks of the Barley Pillow. “It is so soft! I love the texture so much, I’d keep it out all year long,” she adds. The ever-so-soft faux fur does exactly what a pillow is meant to do: provide a pleasing place to lay your head. The dense pile also provides a modern look that feels equally as bold as it is subtle.

“I use this pillow time and time again when styling projects,” Shea notes of the Liam Double Flange Pillow.
