  1. Mixing furniture in the living room – those with legs and those that touch the floor, particularly when you have two couches!

  2. These tips are wonderful, thank you! Would love tips on how to style a small entry…think builder basic colonial home with only 36โ€ wall space. I love your beautiful entry consoles and would love to replicate, but I need a console 36โ€ or smaller.

  3. I love your use of neutrals and ability to set a moody that still feels fresh.
    I wonder:
What informs your decision to take a room dark?
Ideas to unify dark and light rooms?
    Thanks for the inspiration!!

  4. Always love your tips! In our master bedroom we have a tv on the wall above the dresser. Not ideal but it is what it is. Do you have any styling tips for the dresser that wonโ€™t get in the way of the tv? I struggle to make it look beautiful with the big eye sore above it.

    1. Hi Anne! We would probably try styling it with a stack of books, a decorative object, a pretty candle and tray or box for storage. ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Hi can you discuss the best LED bulbs for can lights. To give it a clean bright look. Of course with a dimmer. For a open floor plan . Thanks

  6. can you do a piece on if you do own a loveseat sofa duo and cant have them face each other? I am having major buyers regret over my matching pieces (they are white upholstered slip covered). This advice is amazing but for those of us that already made purchases its hard to justify restarting or even selling or moving a big piece.

The other thing I struggle with is what if you need two dressers? I cannot find anything on what to do! My nightstands match my one dresser but I don’t know what to do with the other dresser and was worried about it all being separate! Thanks so much, these insights are so helpful!

    1. Hi Steph, these are great ideas! Don’t worry about your loveseat duo! We’ll do matching sofa’s sometimes, maybe try using different pillow combinations on each to create more contrast.

  7. Wouldl ove to see some larger master bedrooms styled in different ways. We have a large rectangle room, bed on one side. The rest is a big space and I’ve put a tv on opposite wall to bed. I see a lot of buidlers make huge masters but the area is hard to determine how to style.

Also, how to have a desk or "office" set up in a master without it losing the cozy end of day retreat feeling.

    1. Hi Jen, these are both great ideas! Our first desk space was in our bedroom, too! It can be hard to keep it cozy, we’ll add this to our list!

  8. Iโ€™d like to see how you style open, floating shelves in a living room on a large wall! Sometimes, built-ins are not an option and the fireplace is on a different wall. So, styling a large open wall can be a challenge!

  9. I love your style and these tips, thanks! I would like to see how one combines/coordinates nightstands and dressers in a bedroom.

  10. I’d love a post on window treatments, colors, and sizing, and your go to drapes/curtains and favorite rod, or roman shades, etc. Do you always need to use window treatments etc?. Do you use them over french doors etc. Also, what is your input on plantation shutters as we don’t really see you design with those?

I’d also love to know your recommendations on cabinetry placement when designing a kitchen. i.e. do you prefer drawers or doors next to oven, do you like floating shelves by a sink. And I also would love your take on mixing metals in kitchens and bathrooms. Is it a must do?
