Introducing The McGee & Co. Outdoor Collection!

As our team shifts concepts, priorities, and mindset during this global pause, we are busy working on some exciting things to share with you throughout the rest of the year.

Today’s launch on McGee & Co. is the first of many expressions of making life beautiful during this time, and we couldn’t be more excited for you to see it! Our first outdoor collection has officially landed on McGee & Co.!

Born from the idea that living well reaches further than the walls of your home, our outdoor collection was made for creating meaningful moments in the open air. Currently, we are focusing on the fact that staying home doesn’t have to mean staying inside. Because the truth is, you can create a sanctuary right in your backyard.

The materials

During the process of dreaming up this collection, it was important for our team to create something that would last for years to come. When it comes to outdoor furniture, quality is everything, and we spared nothing to make sure every single detail was made from the best materials we could find.

Teakwood is one of our product designers’ favorite options when it comes to durability. Not only is it the highest grade outdoor wood there is, but it’s also beautiful, versatile, and live-able.

The shapes

Because outdoor furniture is placed differently than indoor furniture, you see it from every angle. This is why our team took extra care to create pieces that had classic shapes that looked good from every perspective. The open structure and subtle designer details of this collection create visual interest that is both simple and unique, and we love that no matter where we are in our backyard spaces, everything feels in its right place.

The textiles

To pair with the furniture, we wanted to design a few pieces that you could add to your current outdoor setting if you already have one. Our textiles in this collection we’re made to withstand and look cohesive while also bringing extra details of interest into the space. Creating an outdoor setup that feels comfortable and liveable is all about the details, especially when we plan to spend so much time out this year, we wanted the pillow and throw designs to resemble what’s inside the home. Each of these pieces is made with a weatherproof fabric made to withstand all of the elements.

Often outdoor textiles look like outdoor textiles, but when it comes to these, you can hardly tell the difference! We’ll even use our outdoor textiles indoors in high-traffic areas that call for more durable goods.
