Did you catch yesterday’s webisode?
Today we’re back with the reveal of this beautiful master bedroom. Our client was not kidding when she said this space was overwhelming. It’s very large, with high ceilings and weird angles. We decided to divide the space into zones to make the most of this large space.
Before

After

The original plan was to do vertical tongue and groove paneling on every wall in the space. In the end we decided to only do the paneling on this wall to make it a focal point, which helps to make other angles in the space disappear. We also used the wooden beam and lantern to draw your eye to this point.

We created balance with the queen bed by using large nightstands for extra styling opportunity. The nightstands have a convenient pullout tray feature that we absolutely love! We chose table lamps that would make a statement without overdoing it and chose neutral accessories to surround it. Benches at the end of a bed are convenient to have for sitting or setting stuff down. Its deep gray color is great for adding depth.

Our client loves a clean, traditional aesthetic with a blue, gray, and soft white palette. The artwork in the desk area was a great jumping off point because it has all those tones and a beautiful coral peach color that ties in with colors in the rug. The desk is beautiful and refined, with texture and subtle brass details in the hardware. It contrasts beautifully with the cream chair.

We took advantage of a large space and created a simple, comfortable seating area. We chose these chairs that have the most beautiful, natural linen. As a subtle statement, we added touches of glam with a gold side table and canisters.

If a TV is in a room, we always try to incorporate it into the design. (Blog post here!) We created an eclectic display on the walls and stuck with the clean aesthetic by choosing simple artwork. We hung the tv under the homeowners existing dresser and balanced the whole look with navy leather stools.

We used the antique pot and brass polyhedrons vignette to fill space in a way that still felt collected without being cluttered.

We love this charming window seat. The pillows are all calm, soothing, and relaxing, going along with the rest of the colors in this space. The baskets are convenient for storing anything else you might want to keep near.

Stay tuned for more webisodes and a new line of product we’ll be launching soon on McGee & Co.

Beautiful! Where is the dresser from? Love everything you all do.
It was the owners, but we’re pretty sure it’s RH!!
Absolutely beautiful. What is the wall colour?
Simply White by Benjamin Moore!
I’m so glad I found my solution online.
First of all, what a beautiful room! Love it. I don’t like to quibble and not to detract from what you accomplished, but this room had amazing bones to start with. Would love to see how you apply this same aethetic to the small boxes that most of us have to call bedrooms in our homes. Still this is an amazing design.
what a gorgeous space. the feature wall looks spectacular! Question for you, can you share any info on the wall to wall carpet? I’m begrudgingly installing a wall-to-wall to eventually layer with a rug, but can you tell me what the homeowner used? Is it a loop style carpet? I really, really want to do wall to wall sisal, but every local vendor seems to want to squash it.
Shea did do a blog post on what carpets to choose, you should look it up, it’d probably help you!
caan you share the trim color? Is it the same as the walls?
Can you tell me the size of the rug you used in this room? I see you sell them in several sizes.
It’s an 8 x 10!
Is the bedframe/headboard still available?
Sure thing! http://bit.ly/2xbXAVx
