How to Style a Festive Tablescape

How we're creating meaningful moments this year.

05 November 2020 -

The season for entertaining is right around the corner, and although things look a bit different this year, it’s more important than ever to find small moments of beauty and celebration.

Although the idea of gathering has taken a new form, we are excited about the opportunity to create meaningful moments in our own homes.

Whether it’s an intimate celebration or a table for two, setting the scene for a night in doesn’t have to be over the top to feel special.

Here are a few of our favorite tips for styling our holiday tablescapes:

Tip No 1. Bring the outdoors in to set the scene

We love finding unique ways to incorporate greenery into our seasonal looks inside and out. If you have windows in your dining area, try hanging wreaths in the middle of them to bring a different dimension to your space.

Our friends at Tinge Floral helped us create this beautiful floral arrangement, but you can create your own with a few simple elements to bring texture to your tablescape.

Tip No 2. Add simple but functional centerpieces.

Using pretty but functional serving pieces like breadboards, pitchers, or serving trays not only saves space but also creates a more natural feeling to your tablescape.

Tip No. 3. Layer in textiles and linens

Use simple placemats to ground the look, layer your favorite dishware on top, and add a pretty folded napkin to the top for a fool-proof table setting look.

Tip No. 4. Incorporate unique details

Add in finishing touches with tapered candles, elevated napkin rings, and a simple festive branch or ornament to bring your look to life.
