How to Style a Fall Front Door

Four different ways we styled this season’s look!

One of the first areas of the home that comes to mind when thinking of transitioning our spaces with the seasons is the front door.

When done intentionally, a front door look can become an opening act to the mood throughout your home, and over the years, we've experimented with a lot of different ways to style it.

This season, we wanted to explore some pared-down looks that feel layered and textural enough for fall, but could easily carry out through the year.

We grabbed some of our favorite indoor/outdoor rugs, doormats, and greenery and got to work! Today, we're sharing four different looks we created and breaking down their common threads.

Here's what we came up with:

  1. I love look 1 and 4!
Thank you Studio McGee for inspiring me to get out and get my Fall front door completed.!

  2. Look #1. Loving the blue with the black door and the symmetry of planters on both sides versus just the one side.

  3. All of them are beautiful, but my favorite is look 4! And how do you style a double door? Thank you Studio Mcgee for the inspiration!

  4. So beautiful! But if one wanted these baskets as shown in Look 4 they are interior only; how would you style them outside?

    1. This would be great. Not only do I have double doors but they are round on the top. I can never hang a wreath. Please help. Thank You, Janet ?
