—at home isn’t a new phenomenon, but it has become more of a necessity the past few years than a convenience. Studio McGee’s CEO, Syd McGee, is up around 5:00 am every morning to “workout as long as I can. I don’t listen to music,” he adds, “I just workout,” before heading into the Studio McGee headquarters in Salt Lake City. (See photos and a guided tour of the office from Syd and Shea here.) While the McGee’s home basement is permanently outfitted with a few larger items, like a treadmill and weight rack, there are several additional items that have joined the ranks as Syd’s fitness routine has evolved over the years.
