Where Summer & Winter Collide

We spent some hot summer days pretending it was December for our McGee & Co. holiday and winter shoots this week. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’m clinging to these warm, busy, sunny days but this collection has me so excited to welcome in our family traditions in the months ahead and enjoy the slower season. (Still laughing over this shot of Diet Coke paired with the styled gift boxes. You can guess what fuels our shoots.)

We are here for this! Our little crew is so excited to cheer on our favorite athletes. With a house full of dancing and tumbling girls, you know who we are rooting for. We’ve been watching Simone Biles Rising and loving every moment.

I know I am biased, but this brownie recipe really is everything I need in a brownie. Perfectly crispy on the edges and the right amount of fudgy in the center. And loads of chocolate chunks to bring in that texture. BRB – heading back to the kitchen now to bake these again.

We’re packing up for a final summer hurrah. We’ll be sure to eat plenty of donuts and tacos – it wouldn’t be a true McGee trip to Southern California if we didn’t!
