Half the fun of shopping for décor is styling it in your home.

Our latest collection with Threshold for Target is now available, and it’s inspiring us to create character-driven spaces that last throughout seasonal transitions. The combinations and versatility of this collection truly know no bounds — the pieces were designed for effortless layering, with details that lend an intentional look.

But of course, it never hurts to have a few pointers from the minds behind the designs. If you need some inspiration for styling your own home with this collection, start with our tips below. The pieces you’ll see throughout are ready for you to explore over at Target!

Use texture to add character

Texture can make a room feel detailed and complete. Look for pieces with patterns and movement that you can nearly feel with your eyes (and bonus points if they’re satisfying to the touch!). Tasseled trim, woven ottomans, or slubby throws are a few surefire ways to attract the eye.

Let contrast lead the way

Two of our favorite ways to add depth and contrast are to juxtapose curved shapes with angled edges, and balance shorter furniture with some height.

Infuse color with florals

In a space balanced with crisp neutrals, one easy way to add a point of interest and pull in the rich colors of fall is to brighten up the scene with a few fresh or faux flower stems.

Create tabletop vignettes

Refresh your coffee table, dining table, or side table by layering a few simple accessories, topped with a multi-wick candle. We love the look of stacked books and trays for a foolproof foundation.

Have extra fluff at the ready

It’s never a bad idea to keep a couple of pillows and throws handy for a warm and welcoming appeal. But instead of tucking them away in the closet, keep a rattan basket nearby for casual access that looks effortlessly considered.
