Shea’s Wardrobe Inspiration for The McGee &. Co. Summer Catalogue
Summer is so close I can taste it…
and I’ve been fondly holding on to the sun-soaked days of our summer catalogue shoot. As always, there are so many moving pieces involved in a collection; from product development, to design, scouting a location, photographing product, and developing a catalogue; there are countless ways our team works to bring a collection to life. While I get involved in each step of the process, I also find it so important to take time to draw inspiration for the feel I am personally aspiring toward as we photograph a collection. For this particular season, I felt a pull toward elevated but grounded shapes and textures.
I often pull inspiration from fashion as we develop moods and color stories. For this catalogue, we had laidback romance in mind to perfectly pair with the location. It only seemed right to wear flowy floral dresses and voluminous sleeves. I’m sharing my personal wardrobe picks and several other equally as laidback but romantic options.
