A few ways we added an elevated look to this kitchen were through an unexpected cabinet hue, tall tower cabinets, mixed metal hardware, open shelves, and a custom hood as a focal point.

We love picking up on elements of our clients’ original space that they’re drawn to, without the help of a designer. Knowing what naturally inspires them tips us off on what details we can add to the end picture that’ll make them smile. In this case, it was spotting the stained glass piece in their window, and translating that to leaded glass in their cabinets.

The coastal theme comes through in the color palette, driftwood-inspired chairs, and artwork, without feeling too overstated. After all, we wanted them to have their true, Southern California dream home!
