Shea’s Monthly Letter
Behind the Scenes: Fall ’26 Shoot and More

Shea’s Monthly Letter

Since the beautiful madness of the April Around the Table book tour, I've been lucky to be home the last few weeks—head down on the most detailed interior project we've ever taken on and shooting our McGee & Co. Fall '26 collection.

If you've been following along on our YouTube Shorts series, you know we're in the final stretch on the house. One week out. I can't spill any more secrets, so more on that very soon.
In between running back and forth to the house project and the office, we shot Fall '26 in Utah. After a year of designing this collection, we finally get to see everything styled in a real home which is one of my favorite parts of the job. I can’t give away all the surprises, but I thought it would be fun to pull back the curtain a little on what's coming.
The theme our creative and product teams centered Fall '26 around is something old, something new. It's a lens we apply to almost everything at Studio McGee—it's the question I find myself asking in every project: how do you bring a little patina, a little soul, into something brand new? We wanted McGee & Co. to answer that too.
With that concept in mind, here's a sneak peek at a few of my favorite products and moments from set.

A Kohler evening

After a long day on set, the team and I were invited to a Kohler event celebrating the launch of our newest Studio McGee x Kohler Claude bathroom collection(You can take a look here.) We swapped our shoot clothes for cowgirl attire—which, when you live in Utah, feels like second nature. Kohler always pulls together the most beautiful parties, and it was such an honor to celebrate the new collection with our team and friends. Highlight moment: we got to make cowboy hats!

That's a wrap

What a month it's been—so many beautiful things on the horizon, and lots of problem solving  along the way. Four hours into shooting, in the very last room, I looked over and realized a regular old box of matches—not the chic kind—had been sitting in frames for twenty minutes. Classic tired-shoot moment. A pretty good metaphor for the whole month. A good reminder that one of the best parts of this job is the laughter I get to share with the team while we pull it all together.
Stay tuned for a very exciting June!
PS: Fall Collection Launches August 3.
