Our Favorite Pieces From Dream Home Makeover
The ones that steal the show
03 February 2021 -
Now that we have shared all of the project details from Season 1 and 2 of our Netflix show “Dream Home Makeover”…
we’re reflecting on some highlights from the show. Today, we’re sharing a few of the pieces that completed each space.
Here are a few of our favorite pieces from “Dream Home Makeover.”:
Midcentury Loft Netflix Remodel
Typically, in modern, clean designs, we tend to see more streamlined elements and sharp angels. While we love this style’s nature, we’ve found that blending in rounded silhouettes and warm textured materials helps create balance, allowing the space to feel welcoming. In this space, we incorporated warm tones through our finishes and pieces to create an inviting feeling.

"I love to select a chair that has a really cool back to it when it's exposed in an open-concept space. Our Yates chair was not only perfect for this space, but it's also extremely soft and comfortable."

Historic Netflix Kitchen Remodel
To embrace this kitchen’s history, we layered in pieces that felt updated but classic, giving it a new life without compromising its character. Adding transitional pieces like our cane-back cafe-style Brinley Chair and streamlined but feminine lighting ties the look together.

We love to mix tones through pieces and textiles. In light and bright kitchens like this one, warm tones like wood, brass, and woven materials bring a contrast of warmth.

We like to create pathways in an open-concept living space by using transition pieces to create a separation between two area functions.
In this space, we used our sleek, black, Allen Console as to fill in added space and create a separation between two area functions.

"I love a round table because you can always pull up another chair to make room for one more. If we don’t have a place for a full rectangle dining table, we love creating a little nook with a round table to bring a flow into the space that allows for more utility."

Modern Bohemian Netflix Remodel
In this space, one of our clients was drawn to more modern pieces, while the other loved an eclectic, bohemian style. Instead of choosing just one, we wanted to find a way to mix them to create a juxtaposition that felt balanced but interesting. In the end, we went with a clean, modern style for our foundational pieces and added in the eclectic bohemian look through the finishing touches.

Layered Coastal Netflix Bedroom Remodel
For this bedroom remodel, our client’s goal was to re-create the feeling of being on vacation in Hawaii. To bring a retreat-like atmosphere to life, we incorporated coastal elements that are still flowed with the rest of their home. Woven textures, a soothing color palette, and layered textiles tied the design together.
