Inside the great room of our Home on the Bay Project…

vaulted ceilings and stained beams draw the eye up and bring an elevated feeling to the entire space. This great room area feels formal and relaxed with a blend of vintage and new materials and influences and is where our clients plan to spend time in conversation and entertaining guests. 

This home is located in the San Francisco Bay Area and was designed as a completely custom new build for our clients, in collaboration with Sausalito Construction and Holscher Architecture. 

The great room is often one of the spaces where we spend the most time in our homes. In designing this space, we paid careful attention to the materials we incorporated to be durable enough for our client’s family but still beautiful and timeless. We can’t wait to show you around!

We wanted to add depth to the color palette in the living area with timeless elements like marble, leather, and curved silhouettes.

A roll arm sofa with beautiful brass casters in a deep-toned upholstery contrasts a modern marble side table and tufted leather chairs, while a mix of decor accents brings this space to life. The traditional touches in this space go a long way to balance some of the more modern streamlined elements.

There is a lot of connectivity between every element in the great room and dining room space, and the moody feeling from the fireplace carries through to the dining room and the selections we made throughout the home.
