A warm, transitional living room

Today, we’re sharing a living room from our latest design project!

Complete with warm tones, transitional textures, and timeless pieces, this space is one of our new favorites.

Scroll through the photo tour to read more about the process for this room, and check out the webisode behind the rest of the project here!

"The first selection we made in the living room was the hardwood floors. I knew I wanted to do something a bit warmer in a medium brown tone, so that is carried throughout the entire main level. Then we designed this beautiful fireplace with clean lines and a dark stone to balance out the warm and cool tones."

Ansel Rug

“With solid upholstery on the sofa and the chairs, we wanted to shake things up by doing a cool pattern on the rug. I love the dark blue broken stripe, the fringe detail on the ends of the rug, and a tiny little bow tie in a warm gray that adds a little bit of interest to the clean lines of the rug.“

“Originally we started by designing the built ins on either side to be white, but I felt like the room needed some extra oomph, so we went with a wood stain that matches the floors and I love how it turned out. Styled with a mix of textured decor, the room was pulled together. “

“The Eileen Console and Coffee Table were born out of my love for strolling through flea markets to find unique pieces full of character. I’ve always been drawn to timeless detailing and never seem to tire of it in my own collection. Inspired by vintage joinery elements, our team aimed to create pieces that felt both authentic and updated.”

“After 18 months of sketching, prototyping, and manufacturing, we are even more in love with the result than we expected. Crafted entirely from white oak, they are easily styled with your favorite vases and decorative objects to introduce the style of your home with sophistication.”

  1. Thanks for sharing this beautiful space with us! What material was used for the fireplace surround — love the color and texture it provides!

  2. Love this. Striking the balance between warm + cozy AND clean + contemporary.
Are you able to share what flooring was used? In my own upcoming build, the hardwood flooring choice is so far the most intimidating, and I love the look of this one.
    Thanks!
