The Sunday 7: Christmas Parties and Festive Train Rides
It’s the time of year for gathering and celebrating and doing all the Christmas things.
No. 1. Polar Express
The fam headed up the canyon to enjoy a festive outing on the Polar Express. We bundled up and sipped our hot cocoa while we took in the sites (all while filming). The girls absolutely loved the holiday theme and Wren felt like she was riding the Hogwarts Express, so it was a Christmas success all around! (The girls wore these jammies and here’s a similar set that is just as darling!)
No. 2. Drafting the design book
As soon as we printed Make Life Beautiful, I started working on our second book, which will be a design book! I’m so excited to share this endeavor with all of you – it’s so much the heart of our business and it has been incredibly fulfilling to work on. I have loved looking at old projects and ahead to the new ones, as well as digging into the things we’ve learned and hope to share. It won’t be out until 2023, but the wait will be worth it! And at the rate life is flying by, I have a feeling it will be here in no time.
No. 3. McGee & Co. Holiday Clearance
McGee & Co. is having a sale on holiday product! I’ve shared some of my favorites before, but I’m going to share them again because this is a great time to grab a few at such a great price. We used this, these and these on our tree, and this and this throughout our home.
No. 4. My holiday party look
We had our annual Studio McGee holiday party on Friday! It was so much fun – filled with laughter, food and beautiful Christmas décor. Syd and I are so inspired by our team and being able to celebrate this season and the year’s accomplishments with everyone really means so much to us. Since we’ve been living in sweatpants for the last two years, it was really fun to put on some sequins and get all dressed up!
No. 5. And my go-to holiday makeup
I’m sharing more of my favorite holiday looks this week, but here’s what Marisa used for Friday night’s festive gathering:
No. 6. Last-minute gifts
Christmas is less than two weeks away (how!?)! We shared some of our favorite last-minute gifts that can make it to your doorstep in time for the big day.
No. 7. Our family’s holiday traditions
The McGee family loves to bake and play games during the holiday season and we’ll be sharing more of our traditions this week, so be on the lookout for that. I think this week I will be spending most of my free time in the kitchen and I’m very much looking forward to that!
