Bold & Coastal Living Room

Deep blue hues, organic textures, and cozy accents

When you enter the home of our latest project, the formal living room is the first space you see.

We wanted it to be dramatic enough to stand out and grab the eye, so we started with a dark, shiplap paneling on all the walls and painted the ceiling to match.

Peppercorn by Sherwin Williams was the perfect color to create a deep yet calm first impression. Pairing it with a medium hardwood floor and a custom cast concrete surround on the fireplace, we set the tone for the entire home with a bold contrast.

Even though it’s a really dark room, we kept it feeling light and fresh by doing a light blue plaid rug that has a cream background to match the art on the walls.

Featuring a classic color palette, the Livorno Wool Rug transitions beautifully from modern to traditional spaces. Anchoring your living room with its subtle contrast, this rug is the perfect base for layering while still adding needed visual interest. Its high-quality wool construction is durable enough for even the most high-traffic areas.

"One of my favorite features in this space is the statement light we used; the scale is large and centers the entire living room layout. "

- Shea McGee

The sofa in this room is a new piece we just launched. Its metal legs and stonewashed fabric pair well with the organic finish on the coffee table and medium tone leather chairs.

  1. Now, this is gorgeous! What rug pads do you use?..I’m having a hard time finding one that stops the rug from moving/wrinkling.. thanks in advance! X

  2. Hi. What is the paint finish on this gorgeous space? Is it different between wall and ceiling? Flat? Eggshell? So amazing! Love you guys (I bought the Lemco floor!)

    1. I’m just commenting, but it looks like the fireplace Diez from Stone Mountain Store. I’ve been eyeing it for our home.
