There are few places in the home that get as much traffic as the bathroom. It’s the place of our morning and evening rituals, book-ending each day with a space dedicated to personal care. With it being such a central point of our day-to-day, we prioritize styling it with pieces that are made as much for beauty as they are for practicality. It’s a balance we’re happy to strike.
As we’ve developed and curated each piece in our bath collection, craftsmanship is a top priority. From towels to soaps and organization, we’ve poured over every material to ensure their use and elegance are equally matched. For every product, it’s a series of samples and research that results in thoughtful choices about material and ingredients. We can make a solid argument for investing in any space of the home, but the bathroom is particularly worth the investment in quality accessories.
As you curate towels and accessories for the bathroom, consider this your guide to our go-to materials.
No. 01 | Towels and Bathmats
No. 02 | Soaps and Lotions
No. 03 | Organization and Utility
There are few things that elevate the bath experience quite like stepping out onto a soft bathmat and drying off with a thick, plush bath towel. Long-staple Turkish cotton is esteemed as a superior material for bath towels for its ability to balance softness with absorbency. This is thanks to its construction and long threads of cotton—luxurious, but in the most practical way possible.
Whether crafted from 100% long-staple Turkish cotton or hand-woven cotton, every towel and bathmat is crafted to not only be absorbent with a plush hand-feel, but also to dry quickly. It’s a layer of functionality we don’t recommend going without, and something that’s as necessary as it is indulgent.
It goes without saying that soap is a bathroom essential. And, admittedly, we are head over heels for soaps that smell just as good as they feel on our hands. We’ve curated a few exceptional brands over at McGee & Co. and have also developed a few soaps and lotions that check all our boxes. Not to brag (maybe a little bit), but they’re some of our favorite bathroom staples.
Each of our McGee & Co. soaps are blended in a base of hyaluronic acid, jojoba, oat, and lavender for a soap that is gentle but powerful, with intact amino acids that help repair damaged skin. Their corresponding lotions are just as good, crafted with a formula of shea butter and aloe fortified with vitamins B5 and E. Every ingredient was intentionally selected to create a nourishing formula that sooths and hydrates. Better yet, each scent is clean and crisp, elevating your experience and the atmosphere of the room.
We are big believers in everything having a place. Taking the chaos out of daily routines through organization makes the day-to-day a little more straightforward and much more beautiful, especially when the organization includes elegant materials like marble, sandstone, glass, and wood. As we’ve curated and designed these pieces, we’ve taken care to highlight new trends while keeping things timeless. We’ve added delicate details to heavy materials like travertine canisters and marble trays, while playing up the natural textures of sandstone soap trays and wood bath caddies. These pieces can lean dressed up or casual depending on the material and your space.
In addition to countertop organization, we’ve thoughtfully considered the details of each laundry basket. The materials here are just as important, making an impact not only in their aesthetic but also in their longevity and usefulness. With woven, strong frames of materials like wicker or seagrass and 100% cotton lining, they are simple and sweet yet strong and durable. Not to mention, the texture and aesthetic of natural woven grasses with airy cotton is unmatched.
Whether you’re storing cotton balls, stashing everyday pieces of jewelry, or tossing clothes into a bin before bed, there’s a piece for every part of your routine.
