How to Elevate Your Holiday Greenery

Tis the season for all the greenery

30 November 2021 -

Greenery has a way of making any space come to life, especially during the holidays!

We love filling our homes with lush textural elements through garlands and wreaths brings a natural, festive feeling that is as simple as it is beautiful. While many celebrate the tradition of decorating the tree, there are a few ways to bring personality to wreaths and garlands, too!

Whether you’re dressing up a real garland or want to add another dimension to your faux pieces, a little bit of inspiration can go a long way! Watch our video below and keep scrolling for our favorite ways to elevate your holiday greenery.

No. 1: Mix different types of greenery in a garland

While there are times when a single garland will do the trick, we love mixing multiple pieces to add even more drama and dimension. Even mixing different types of greenery like pine and eucalyptus can go a long way in creating that forest-foraged look.

No. 2: Add ribbons

We love adding ribbons to our greenery to add a hint of texture or color. Plus, it’s a great way to bring some structure to natural greenery! Tying a long, loose bow at the top of a wreath or the end of a garland on a staircase can go a long way!

No. 3: Adding lights

Adding lights to your garlands (or even wreaths!) is a great way to take the festive feelings up a notch. This year, when our team designed our faux greenery with McGee & Co., we wanted to make sure we had a pre-lit option so that it was as hassle-free as possible, and we couldn’t love it more!

No. 4: Incorporate bells or other embellishments

Incorporating bells, ornaments, and natural elements like berries or pinecones, is another great way to elevate your greenery and make it feel personal. Add a little wire or twine, and attach your additions to the wiring of the wreath or directly on the garland, and you have a custom creation!
