Our Northridge Remodel is here!

We’ve been working on this project over the past year, and it was a huge top to bottom project. The finishes before had a lot of columns and frills, so we just needed to take it into this decade. Catch up by watching the webisode, then let’s start with the kitchen transformation. It’s pretty crazy!

We got rid of the angles by replacing the peninsula with a substantial island in the center. The ceilings were quite low, so we raised the ceiling and wrapped exposed beams in stained wood that carries into the dining area. The walls are Simply White by Benjamin Moore.

The island design is one of our best yet. We did a waterfall countertop topped with a thick butcher block with open shelves for display and storage. It creates a big wow factor! It’s painted by Midnight Blue by Benjamin Moore.

We decided to place symmetrical floating shelves around the range to create this really great focal point for the space. The upper cabinetry is painted Chantilly Lace by Benjamin Moore!

The pantry was at an angle, with a swinging door. We decided to flatten it all out and install this custom cabinetry with a fridge as well.

The couple previously owned this beautiful, big round dining table. We added chairs and a convenient glass front cabinet on the open wall.

Our favorite design tip? Add decor to the top of cabinet to make the space feel lived in and alive.
