Checkered floors is a classic staple that never goes out of style, however, it does go in and out of mainstream trends. While we don’t see it as often these day, lately we’ve been seeing it come back into popularity in new ways.
If you’re one of those people whose minds immediately go to a 50s diner of some kitschy place, let me assure you with a few photos that there is a lot to love when it comes to checkered floors.
We did it here with marble and slate. When you can’t go for it in a continuous open space, add it into somewhere confined like a laundry room.

I love so many things about this entry, but I think the painted checkered floors is a showstopper.

I love that checkered floors are done in a fresh new way by creating a pattern with the layout.

I’m still looking for an excuse to travel to Detroit so I can stay at the Shinola hotel. Love the way they softened the contrast of traditional black and white with a rosey color.

I also was in love with the rendering of the space:

As you can see, we are obviously on team checkered floors. After seeing all these pretty floors, I just want to know — what other team is even out there???
Thanks for this awesome floors. Hardwood flooring is the best option while considering floorings because hardwood is the most durable wood.
