Haven Workshop Collaboration Event

This month we had the opportunity to partner with Haven, a community of lifestyle creatives who share our mission of making life more beautiful. Focusing on intentional living, Haven explores what it means to create meaningful moments and helps like-minded creatives find motivation and inspiration. Haven’s blog has been on our radar for a while now, and we were so excited when Haven reached out to us to be a part of their first-ever workshop! Partnering with Janelle from Lavenders Flowers, a California based florist, we were able to create a beautiful evening of entertaining we’ll never forget.

Haven kicked off the weekend at Malibu Farm’s beautiful venue in Lido Marina Village in Newport Beach, California, for an evening of learning and dining. Our team had so much fun styling the shelves in the venue space, and we love the way they added to the lived-in, welcoming environment.

After a weekend of connection, growth, and inspiration, Haven’s workshop attendees joined us at the McGee & Co. storefront for a floral styling session and farewell dinner. To begin the evening, Janelle from Lavenders Flowers set up three different tablescapes and demonstrated how she creates unique visual narratives through nature. We loved working with Janelle and watching her organic and unconventional process unfold as she brought elements of nature together to set the scene for the evening.

To experience Janelle’s talents in real-time, we sat down at a long table styled by our team and filled with her arrangements. Enjoying each others company and food catered by Malibu Farms, the Haven workshop attendees reflected on the weekend, and all they had learned.

We had so much fun styling elements of the Haven workshop and hosting the farewell event at our storefront. We’re always looking for ways to collaborate with and support up and coming design businesses through our trade program, and we knew Haven was special from the beginning. Our team feels lucky to be a part of what we hope will be the first of many Haven events, and we’re so grateful to everyone who helped make it come to life!
