How We Trim the Tree
See our tips and tricks for decking the halls.
Thanksgiving is creeping up, so we’re giving ourselves permission to start decorating for Christmas! There might not be much to decorating a tree, but we are still thoughtful when picking ornaments for our family. Keep these tips in mind, but remember that the most important part of the process is having fun! You can get caught up without holiday posts by seeing how we entertain.
Now enjoy our quick webisode and then see our tips for decorating the Christmas tree!
Up first, the tree skirt. We Designed our very own tassel tree skirt that’s versatile, natural, and will grow with your family as you collect new ornaments and decor. It has just enough details with a neutral stripe and tassels.
HUNG WITH CARE
We like to keep the durable ornaments within arms reach of little ones! Let them take the plush and wooden ornaments and fill the bottom of the tree to their heart’s desire. If you have any delicate, fragile, sharp or antique ornaments hang them near the top of the tree! This will keep them away from any pets, too.
MERRY & BRIGHT
We’re always drawn to metallics, but we like to include even more shine than usual in our holiday decor. We’ll include silver, gold, and bronze ornaments to bring the tree to life.
Extra ornaments? Throw them in a wooden bowl for bonus decor!
TOP THE TREE
All of our tree toppers come with different finishes, in classic shapes that bring you back to your childhood and can be carried through the years. We love the sweet vintage spirit they have.
We love to go retro with holiday decor. From the aged old-school tree toppers to the ornaments! Syd’s Classic Car Ornaments are ideal for any car lover, and they bring so much charm to the tree.
Admittedly, garlands can be pretty hard to arrange! Don’t put too much pressure on yourself as you string it around the tree. They’re a fun element to include, and they tend to draw the eye up to the show-stopper, the star on the tree.
