Our last photo tours took you through the home we designed with Killowen Construction.
You can tour the kitchen, dining, living, office, exterior and entry in part one, and the bunk room, powder, and mudroom in part two. You can also catch the first webisode, and the second one! We’re so excited to show you the rest.
The home is situated in a mountain community right outside of Park City, Utah. We’ll start with the master bedroom. With vaulted ceilings and views that spread for miles, we needed a bed that was as equally beautiful. We chose to incorporate a custom bed that we’ll be bringing to McGee & Co. in 2019! We completed the experience with the Sapira mattress from Leesa. We were able to use Leesa mattresses throughout the home, and chose to use the luxury mattress here.

There’s a lot of cool tones in this space, so we used this bench to warm things up.

Sometimes we mix things up by doing a side table, instead of a nightstand! With plenty of storage opportunities throughout the rest of the space, it worked really well here. We used the Auden Side Table because it’s simple and streamlined, letting the bold lamps do the talking.

Everything on this pretty dresser is pretty neutral, so we gave the eye something to look at with the shape of this lamp and a dipped dark vase. We’re loving these paper mache bowls, because each is unique.

The artwork above the dresser brings in these cool tones that we just love. This Mountain Fog artwork is exclusive to McGee & Co. and we have yet to find a space it doesn’t complete.

Kelli Chair
We were originally going to hang the artwork on the mantle, but when we realized the ceilings were so high, we decided to go dramatic and use a long mirror instead! It draws your eye up to the beautiful beams and light fixture

The first thing you see when you walk into the master bathroom, is how spacious it is. Dark cabinets and dark hardware stand out, and you can’t miss that gorgeous hand painted tile in the shower.

It’s hard to pick a favorite thing in this bathroom, but that copper tub is pretty hard to beat!! It’s warm, rich, and unusual. An accent stool is convenient, working as a landing spot for various trinkets. But we also appreciate the rustic element it brings out, as copper and wood contrast.

Because the bathroom is so spacious, we had room for a sit down vanity! We designed this custom piece with steel, wood, and a marble top. We accented it with a cool chair from McGee & Co. We love the cane back and dark seat.

We’ve done a lot of laundry spaces, but this one is special. The two-toned painted cabinetry, light fixtures, and tiled floor are unusual for a laundry room. These details come together, creating a space that’s great for doing crafts or laundry.

You’ll notice there’s dark wood throughout the home, and we incorporated that element into the laundry wood with the dark wood shelved. But our favorite part? The fluted front of the farmhouse sink.

In this bedroom, the dark wingback bed frame serves as a focal point. The real show stoppers? The view, and the mixed paneling. We honored the view with a cool landscape piece above the bed.

We brought in some warmth with copper table lamps and a light nightstand. The rug has a pattern that barely shows through, creating interest without stealing the show. The Leesa mattresses are so cute, but unfortunately we had to cover them up. We grounded the bed with a body pillow and used striped shams and a gorgeous leather pillow paired with a contrasting dark patterned pillow.

Extra space in a guest room calls for a chair and side table, so your guests have a place to set down their things, or sit down and read. The woven chair has a dark stripe that ties in with the artwork and bed frame. We used a cool floor lamp and our new SM pillow to complete the look.

We kept things nice and moody in this bathroom with dark tiled hexagon flooring and the dark tile in the shower.

We knew that the future owners of this home might want a huge tv in this rec room. We like to create dark built-ins, so the tv will blend in with the cabinetry. There’s details like dark wood, charcoal paneling, and studded corners to really elevate this piece.

Coziness is always important. Layers tend to do the trick in a large space like this, so we grounded the space with a large jute rug and layered a plaid on top.

One of our go-to chairs, the Ura, now comes in a green velvet. We were so excited to incorporate that!

We needed to balance out the scale of the huge built-in by filling the corners of the space. We started with textured baskets and a plant, then filled in the other wall with a cool lined console, and a retro-inspired piece of art.

The bonus room opens up to a kitchenette. We whitewashed a vertical paneling to keep the space feeling rustic, but light. We contrasted with a countertop with dark veining.

We didn’t need as much storage here, so we skipped the upper case cabinets and used these cool shelves with hooks for hanging mugs, and storing small dishes or plants.

We had another large blank wall to fill, and we needed something special. We used two dark Maddox cabinets with stained interior and glass fronts. They are such a classic statement, and we love how they stand out.

To keep things feeling traditional, we used a lot of paneling throughout the home. But in this space we wanted drama. We love how the dark paneling on the bottom and dark crown detail on the top contrast with the white walls.

Whitewashed nightstands have subtle pull-out drawers that serve as storage or a tray. We topped them with dark lamps. To keep things moody, we used a dark dresser against the dark paneling, and bold artwork above it. The skull is a nod to nature, reminding us of the beautiful mountain home we’re in.

The Jack and Jill bathroom turned out so cute! Each detail is thought out, with the hex detail on the floor, a custom vanity with a towel bar, and an unconventional oval mirror.

Beautiful!
Thanks Kristin!!
