The Studio Pt. 2

Get a tour of the Studio McGee office!

A year ago we gave you a small tour of our studio.

Recently, the studio was featured on Rip and Tan, which forced us to finally reshoot the space! It’s something we’ve wanted to do for a while now, especially as we  grow and evolve. Because of what we do, we’re always switching out different artwork and accessories, so make sure to check out the current McGee & Co. products we’ve used in the office at the end of the post!

Although the studio gets plenty of natural light from our lined windows, we love our Eugene Brass Pendants so much we added them to the office!  They bring added dimension to the space and amplified lighting to get work done.

I love the little nook that Syd and I share together. We emphasized the height of the space with tall drapes and made the office feel like our little corner with collected art.

Our custom built-ins and natural wood ladder were made by Christopher Scott Cabinetry. We use the built-ins to store the hundreds of samples we have, and it does the job flawlessly. We painted it in Platinum Gray by Benjamin Moore.

Our conference room sees a lot of action throughout the day.  Whether it’s being used for meetings, phone calls, brainstorming sessions, or grabbing a quick snack, people are always coming in and out.

The best thing about this room are our design boards.  While we’re constantly adding and mixing things around for inspiration, they’re doubling as an ever changing art piece.

My favorite part of our open area are these styled shelves.  We’ve filled them with some of our favorite McGee and Co. products, so even when the space gets cluttered with shipping boxes and extra product the chaos still has a pretty backdrop.
